For all of you 24 fans, we will not get to see what is happening in Jack Bauer-land until 2009! The cruel realization first came to me when the 24 season premiere widget on Matt’s MacBook Pro went from 23 days to 324 day recently. Could this be a mistake? It was not to be. Thanks to the Hollywood Writer’s strike it will be more than a year before a new episode of 24 airs on Fox television. Curses!

I am dying on the inside today! The harsh reality of DVD re-runs doesn’t sit well considering that 24 is a spiritual experience for me. I take Monday’s off each week and 24 was the ultimate way to end my relaxing day away from ministry. Think about it – watching Jack and his CTU buddies shoot some terrorists is a great way to wind down. Trust me, Jack has it easy compared to some guys I know in the ministry. Some of my pastor friends would trade places with Jack in a heartbeat. Who wouldn’t want to face some guy with a nuke rather than face a little blue hair who lost her seat in the pew to some stranger who visited that week? Totally Dangerous!
