As I type, a team from Thompson Baptist Church in Thompson, Mississippi are making their way up to NE Ohio to help Bridge Church at Perry carry out it’s mission to encounter, engage, and encourage people to experience Jesus. This team will be holding Day Camps in a park and in a church members back yard. They will also paint a home for someone who is unable to in Painesville and they will be doing Servant Evangelism projects in and around Perry.

This team will be the sixth of eigth teams we will have hosted this summer. When it is all said and odne, these teams will have spent thousands of man hours holding sports camps, cleaning windows, handing out water, painting curbs, prayer walking, holding day camps, handing out church information, giving away coffee, and sharing the love of Jesus. They have been able to do whatwe as a church could not do own our own and we thank God for their willingness to take off a week of their summer to come spend serving God in Perry.

These teams have had up to 30 people on their team and have had to sleep on church floors, share two showers among the whole team, get up early and go to bed late. It has been our privilege to make new friends from each of these teams. All of you guys are awesome! You are my heroes!
