Yesterday I spoke on Eternal Investments as the topic with the content of the message being on tithing. I know what you are thinking, “Crud, another preacher wanting my money!” Well, as a matter of fact, if you are part of Bridge Church, yes we do want you to give to the work of Christ through Bridge Church. For the rest of you, give to the church you attend.

Back to the subject. I started off yesterday’s time of teaching by giving three people, crisp one hundred dollar bills. The catch was that they have to find creative ways to take the $100 and multiply it into a larger amount. After they multiply it into a larger amount, they are then required to give the proceeds to a cause that they are passionate about, but it can’t be Bridge Church. I am looking forward to hearing the stories of how each one of the participants used the money.

I spoke on Malachi 3:8-11 where God accuses the Israelites of embezziling (stealing) from Him by not giving the tithe and offerings. In that scripture God gave the Israelites and us permission to test him – read the scripture.

At the close of my sermon I gave a challenge to anyone who is not tithing to do so for the next three months and if at the end of the three months God has not blessed them according to Malachi, then we will refund what they have tithed no questions asked.
