Believe it or not, the house that was used in the 1983 movie, A Christmas Story is located in Cleveland. This week I took a bunch of guys from Mississippi to see this house and for some of them it was like they had met the President!

The movie takes place in the 40’s and centers around Ralphie who wants a a 200-Shot, Red Ryder Range-Model Air Rifle with a compass in the stock for Christmas. If you haven’t seen this movie, you must be living on the moon. It has become a classic movie that plays for twenty four hours straight on TBS every Christmas Eve.

What is so cool is that the owner, Brian, has restored the house to it’s movie glory and will be opening it up to the public beginning November 25th. He is also opening up a museum across the street that will sell the leg lamps! The actors who played Randy, Scot Farkus, Flick, Grover Dill and Miss Shields will be there for the grand opening. Brian has a website to for the house, www.achristmasstoryhouse.com. Go there and check it out and come to Cleveland to see the house and eat at the C&Y Chinese Restaraunt! Look me up and I will give you a tour.
