Part of the wonders of missing a flight is the great people you get to encounter while waiting. While waiting for the shuttle to the Marriott last night, there was a familiar looking man with his wife waiting for the shuttle as well. I approached him and shared that I thought that he looked familiar and sure enough, it was Joel Hunter who was a panelist at the Purpose Driven Community Gathering. He was there with his wife Becky who had been on the same flight from Orange County as us and were stuck in Houston for the night.

Joel and Becky were very gracious and spoke with us while we waited for the shuttle. Joel is the Senior Pastor at Northland Church in Orlando and the author of A New Kind Of Conservative.
