I am writing this while this panel is discussing the PEACE plan.  On the panel which is moderated by Tom Holiday are Mark Beeson, Jimmie Davidson,  Brian Crute, Dave Gibbons and Dave Holden. They are each sharing how their church is engaging on a global basis.

Brian Crute stated that his church had to make it work locally before they took it globally. They adopted and elementary school in the Atlanta area where they are and met the needs the school had. They are now partnering with 37 other churches to combat the sex slave trade going on in Atlanta. Globally, they have partnered with Rwanda to help plant forty churches.

Jimmie Davidson had to ask the question, Why me? I can't be used in a big way." He wound up going to Alexandria, Egypt to teach pastors. His church in rural Virgina bought the house across the street to bring in pastors and leaders from around the world to train them in the Purpose Drive principles.

Dave Gibbons at New Song Church took his family to Thailand.  It was there that God spoke to him that he was too focused on the excesses of life, especially in his church.  God taught him to love other people who was not like him. They have established a fish farm that raises talapi and the proceeds support over 200 churches in Thailand.

Dave Holden pastored a church in a small town in California that had 75 people. They started going into the community and doind what they could with what they had. They now are at about 700 people, People learned that there was a church in the community that cared. His church adopted India.

Brian shared that you have to ask three questions: (1) What is my pain? The answer to that question will connect you to the world. (2) What is in your hand? The Moses question. What do you have that you can use? (3) Can anything good come from Nazareth – Yes!
