Good evening. Today was the start of the Pre-Conference Intensive for the Exponential Conference in Orlando. The track I took was The Reproducing Church Experience taught by Jon Ferguson of Community Christian Church and Brian Zehr of NewThing Network.
Jon shared with us in this Intensive how to recognize and act on the Seven Moves of Reproduction of a new church.
Move 1: God Thing
This is when god is up to something and it can be a disruptive moment such as a new thought or someone tells you , you can do this.
3 questions: Where is God at work? Where is God dreaming? How is God working to confirm this plan?
Move 2: Vision
Vision happens when there is a problem which leads to a solution and it is done with urgency.
Move 3: Leader
Identifying the leader is the most important of the seven moves.
Does he have visioning capacity? Is he intrinsicly motivated? Does he relate to the unchurched? And is there spousal cooperation?
Move 4: Team
Most important part of the team is unpaid staff/ The larger your launch team, the more sustainable your launch will be.
Move 5: Finances
How you begin will have a lasting effect. Get over your fear of asking for money. You can do a lot with a little. Ask your staff to raise part or all of their support.
Move 6: Alignment
Maintain alignment by having one vision, one leadership community (gathering of all leaders) and one Big Idea.
Move 7: Unstoppable
Unwavering resolve to do whatever must be done. When you fell like giving up, you have to keep going.

Brian spoke on Being A Reproducing Leader
How Does a Reproducing Leader Think?
I am a Spiritual Entrepreneur – Say Yes to opportunities
It’s Not About Me – Get over yourself
Flex is King – Everything changes when you reproduce. Constantly making change.
Reproduction is not an option. Who am I developing right now.
Risk is the coolest. Reward steps of faith!
As I look back at the life of Bridge Church, it has been an exciting ride watching this new church grow and make a difference in people’s lives! When we began the church I excelled at taking risks and challenged our people to be dangerous Christians. As we have steadily climbed to about 200 people in fifteen months, I have seen us lose that edge of taking risks to grow and reach people as we have become more of a church that a church plant. We are taking a huge risk on May 18 as we cancel our service and go into the community and show compassion by serving and loving our friends and neighbors.
Pray for me as I seek God regarding my Spiritual Entrepreneurship and Risk Factor.
