Here it is in all of it’s beautiful glory – the Apple iPhone which goes on sale tomorrow. Since my conversion in 2005 (not spiritual) to an Apple PowerBook G4 away from the Microsoft monopoly, I have feverishly been an evangelist for Apple.

I currently own a bulky Verizon XV6700 Smartphone that runs the Windows Mobile software. I needed a device that combined my phone and myschedule and email in one device and that is what was available.

Now my dilemma. I signed a new contract with Verizon in August 2006 and am obligated to that contract for two years. Almost  another twelve months of anquish, desiring to hold the sleek beauty and sheer wonder of OSX in a mobile phone. Oh well, that is reality. As I pastor I don’t have the cash to go changing carriers every year. I can tell you this, come August 2008, I will have me an iPhone and hopefully it will be a 2nd or 3rd generation phone with more features than the one that comes out tomorrow.Those of you out there who will pick up your iPhone tomorrow – congratulations for being early adapters! For the next thirteen months I will envy you.
